IPL 2021: CSK VS DC, Venue : Mumbai
Chennai Superkings will take on Delhi capitals on the10th of April in Wankhede stadium of Mumbai.
The previous edition was pretty for the superkings as they were able to manage just 6 wins, losing 8 games. In fact this was the only season where CSK didn’t qualify for the playoffs.
Can they present themselves with improved performance? That’s a question that is going to clear by the end of the tournament.
On the other hand, Delhi had a season to remember last year. However, their main superstar bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje are not available for the first game.
Also they probably will miss their captain who use to give stability in the middle order.
CSK VS DC : What can we expect?
The match is set to be played at Wankhede stadium of Mumbai which favours batting most of the time. We can expect to see a high scoring match between Chennai and Delhi.
There is a high chance that Chennai will throw a bet on Robin Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad for the opening there batting. Ruturaj looked and solid last year while playing in the last few matches.
And Uthappa played his best for his franchise while opening the game where he scored 660 runs at a healthy average of 44. Chennai would definitely look forward to him for opening the and game and giving them a good start.
If this duo does the job nicely, then Chennai have a chance to make a good comeback after a rusty season. Further, with pujari’s addition, it looks like a better team at least on paper.
On the other hand, Delhi will look forward to their young opener Prithvi Shaw to play responsibly in absence of their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Besides, they will also be keen to include steve smith in the playing XI as he could bat in the middle order providing the required freedom for the top order to fire. Smith is also one of the finest captains of the modern-day which may also prove to be helpful for the newly appointed captain Rishabh pant.
CSK VS DC : HEAD TO HEAD
By looking at the stats one may feel CSK is way ahead of Delhi. But, With Delhi reestablishing themselves and CSK losing their gas, It wouldn’t be wrong to say DC have a higher hand in CSK vs DC clash.
