A Phenomenal knock from Sir Jadeja helped Chennai to put 191 on board. In reply, RCB faltered and managed 122 runs in 20 overs and lost the game by 69 runs. Ravindra Jadeja’s performance was one of the best 3D show of the history.
After winning the toss, Chennai opted to bat first. They started well with Ruturaj Gaikwad continuing his form from the last match and du Plessis too looked good. CSK set the tone of the game with 51 in powerplay without losing any wicket.
However, soon after that, they lost Ruturaj at a personal score of 33. Meanwhile, du Plessis continued and completed his fifty before becoming the prey of Harshal Patel’s double strike.
With Set batsmen returned in Pavillion, CSK was set to fumble and they did. But, Later in the last over, Ravindra Jadeja smacked almost every ball out of the park.
Harshal Patel’s last over went for 37 runs which also became the most expensive over in the history of the Indian Premier League. RCB, who was looking to restrict Chennai under 170 now had to chase 192.
RCB got a flying start but failed to keep the momentum
Devdutt Padikkal started on positive note smashing shots all over the ground. But, soon the fun was over he was sent back in dressing room after scoring 34 off 15 balls. Virat too became the prey of Sam curran.
Althought RCB made 65 runs in the powerplay but they lost their both openers.
After that, Sir Jadeja came and broke the spine of RCB with Maxwell’s and AB de Villiers’s wicket. Then there was only formality that was left and that too was done by Jadeja’s direct hit getting rid of Daniel Christian.
This game was a display of Sir Jadeja’s tremendous capability
The game was all about Ravindra Jadeja Allround show, he smashed 62 off 28 balls which included 5 sixes and 4 fours, took 3 crucial wickets which consisted of consistent ABD and dangerous Maxwell. He also sent back Daniel Christian with a direct hit.
During his inning , Jadeja scored 36 in last over becoming the second Indian after Yuvraj singh to do so.
